As You Think
For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he… Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)
The way we think about ourselves is how we are in our own sight. Our thoughts reflect how we see ourselves.
And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight. Numbers 13:33 (KJV)
We must view ourselves as winners to be winners. How you see yourself inwardly is how you will be outwardly. Our self-image is reflected in how we carry ourselves. What we think about ourselves becomes clear to others.
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. Genesis 1:26 (KJV)
God made us in His image and likeness to have dominion, not to be dominated. See yourself as God does: created in His image and likeness. See yourself as God sees you by His Word and Spirit. As we walk in a God-given self-image, we will be like God in our hearts, thoughts, words, and actions.
See yourself victorious. See yourself as a giant slayer. David did. As we gain experience in life with God, those experiences give us confidence in God so we can overcome anything we face. The way you see yourself is who you will become.
See yourself healed to walk in your healing. Walk it out to walk in healing. Fight until you win and experience that which you believe in your heart is who you are. As we see God, He will show us ourselves. God made you His child- loved, accepted, valued, empowered, wise, and blessed.
What you see and think about yourself is a prophetic picture of who you are and who you can become. Thoughts create pictures in our hearts and minds. if acted upon, we live out that picture. We are a living movie, playing out God’s will in our lives. We become what we think. Our thoughts direct our lives. Think right to act right. In your mind and heart, see who God made you and become it- one thought at a time.
