Bad Medicine
And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. II Corinthians 11:14 (KJV)
Have you ever met someone who smiled at you and you thought they were fine, but later you saw through their fake facade? You then see them for who they really are: an angel of light. They look good on the outside, but like Jesus said, they are full of dead mens’ bones. Even a tomb can look nice outside, but when you look inside, you see the rotten, decaying bones of the dead.
Time will tell who people are. That which is inside them will come out, whether good or bad, godly or ungodly. We find out if they are givers or takers. We must learn to discern by the Holy Spirit, God’s Word, and prayer. Just watch people. Their lifestyles will tell who they are. A good tree will not produce bad fruit, and a bad tree will not produce good fruit. Even a child is known by his ways.
For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. II Corinthians 11:13 (KJV)
Paul talked of false apostles, deceitful workers, who transformed themselves to appear to be apostles of Christ. He said it wasn’t surprising since satan even makes himself appear as an angel of light.
Angel means messenger. So keep an eye on people and be cautious about who you allow into your life. Watch them and the message they bring. Watch their conversations, associations, and how they act. Watch who you know and what you do. Don’t be fooled by people who will play you, use you, abuse you, then lose you.
You will know them by how they eventually treat you. People are found out. The Bible says their sins will find them out. Light exposes darkness. Truth exposes lies. Righteousness exposes sin. However, it is even better to discern who and what they are before they can mistreat you.
Don’t allow people to be bad medicine to you, treating you wrongly. Reject their pain, abuse, and manipulation. Choose to overcome evil with good. Give it to God, and let Him take care of it. He will reward you for doing what is right when you’ve been done wrong. He will pay you back, more than all you’ve had to endure. Be at peace, God’s got this.
