New Year's Revolution
Many of us focus on making New Year’s resolutions, a committing to do something beneficial for ourselves and/or others in the coming year. However, recently I heard a minister misspeak and accidentally call it a New Year’s revolution. Immediately, I knew in my spirit it was the Lord speaking and not simply human error.
The sun rises and the sun goes down, and then it hurries to rise again in the same place. The wind blows to the south, and the wind blows to the north. The wind blows around and around. Then it turns and blows back to the place it began. All rivers flow again and again to the same place. They all flow to the sea, but the sea never becomes full. Ecclesiastes 1:5-7 (Easy-to-Read Version, ERV)
According to Merriam-Webster, revolution has two definitions and I believe they both fit. The first definition includes: the action by a celestial body of going round in an orbit or elliptical course, or motion of any figure about a center or axis. It speaks of an orbit of a plant, moon or other body around another body- or the complete turning of an object like the earth so it spins in a circle and comes back to the point it started. It is a circuit or rotation of 360 degrees. The object returns to the original position it had at the first. I believe we will be returning to our original positions as free men and women. The United States will return to it’s righteous and free foundation. Liberty will be restored and we are returning to the position we had when our nation started.

The second definition from Merriam-Webster is a sudden, radical, or complete change. I believe this year will be marked by just that- sudden, radical, complete change. We will see immediate transformation of our nations, our lives, our health, our finances. God can move quickly and can totally redo everything in a single day if He so chooses. Everything is going to change and it will be radical and sudden. In our spirits, we’ve been sensing a huge shift coming. I believe that when we come to the end of 2024, very little will be the same as it is right now. Dramatic, transforming change is coming to the earth and will impact us all.
2024 is going to be a revolutionary year. We are entering a new year’s revolution! Prepare, because it’s going to be exciting!
