Love To The End

…Having loved his own who were in the world, he loved them to the end. John 13:1 (English Standard Version, ESV)

God has given us an assignment to love those in the world, just as God did when He gave us Jesus, His Son (John 3:16). And specifically, we’re called to love the ones God has placed in our care. Although there will be misunderstandings, disagreements, and immaturity to deal with, love covers it all. After all, God’s love covers our shortcomings, weaknesses, and the like.

We must continue to stay in the love walk, even when it’s hard and others don’t do right or treat us right- especially at those times. God will deal with them. Rather, stay focused. Don’t chase distractions. Refuse to get off course and keep your focus like Jesus did. In all He faced, He overcame by keeping His eyes on His mission and His heart full of love.

Don’t let anything stop you from running your race, fulfilling your purpose, and finishing the assignment God has given you. We are in the last of the last days. The Bible says that many people’s love will grow cold- don’t let it be you. He that endures in love until the end will make it. As long as we follow Jesus’ love example, we will succeed in walking the love walk, loving those who are own own- those closest to us- to the end. Love is the highest way to go, so go in love and you’ll go in God.
