As Your Day Is So Shall Your Strength Be

As Your Day Is So Shall Your Strength Be

Your sandals shall be iron and bronze; As your days, so shall your strength be. Deuteronomy 33:25 (NKJV) emphasis mine

When Moses blessed the tribes of Israel before he died, he spoke these words over the tribe of Asher. As children of God, we can receive any promise of the Bible, as long as any conditions set for that promise have been met. In Moses’ blessing spoken over Asher, it appears that there were no conditions given, so we can freely claim what he said. So, what exactly are we claiming?

This promises us that whatever each day holds, our strength will be equal to what we face. Therefore, we can approach each day with confidence, knowing that God has equipped us with the strength to stand against anything that comes our way.

The word strength in this verse actually really means strength, but it also refers to rest. God’s strength gives us rest in the midst of any circumstance. The events from day to day are not consistent- some days hold more challenges than others. But, God’s strength is consistently available to us in perfect measure to make it through each day victoriously. We can rest in that. We can maintain peace in the midst of any situation. If we fail to walk in victory, the fault is not God’s, Rather, it is ours because we did not use our faith to receive the strength needed.

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. II Corinthians 12:9 (NKJV)

As our days are, God gives us the level of strength needed to persevere and overcome- when we receive it by faith. He gives us the amount that is sufficient. Grace is the ability of God working on our behalf. This means His ability is enough (more than enough actually) for any obstacle or enemy we face. By His grace, we receive His strength to live victoriously each and every day. When we are weak, we can load up on His strength.

What are you facing today? Is it a bad report from the doctor? Is it a bank balance that looks woefully inadequate to meet your needs? Is betrayal from a close friend or loved one? Is it the loss of someone dear? Is it concern over the choices your children are making? Is it a stressful situation at work? No matter the issue, God has more than enough strength to give you to overcome it. You may feel like you’ve been punched in the gut, but you can tap into God’s strength to rise above what is in front of you.

Receive God’s strength right now. Tell Him you accept and receive His strength right now. Receive His grace, His divine ability working for you. Allow Him to download the supernatural strength you need to meet any crisis or concern. And begin each day by asking Him for grace for your day. Ask Him to give you the grace and strength you need for the day ahead. Then, thank Him for it. That’s all there is to it. And when trouble comes, don’t forget that grace has given you the strength of God to beat it.
