Never Too Late
If we [freely] admit that we have sinned and confess our sins, He is faithful and just [true to His own nature and promises], and will forgive our sins and cleanse us continually from all unrighteousness [our wrongdoing, everything not in conformity with His will and purpose]. I John 1:9 (Amplified Bible, AMP)
No matter what you’ve done or what you are doing, it’s never too late with Jesus. It’s never too late to begin again. When you’ve come to your end, Jesus has a new beginning for you. If you’ve lost and feel defeated, you can start over with Jesus and begin to win again. You can win over yourself, your flesh, sin, the devil, mistakes, losses- you name it- Jesus can cause you to overcome it.
Don’t look at what isn’t yours anymore, but look at God’s Word to see what He has in store. Give your yesterdays to God and He will present you with a new today and many promising tomorrows. God will erase your shame and pain and give you a new and good name. Jesus can do a deep work in you so you will turn your back on sin and live again. Trust Jesus and not your own effort to win over sin.
The truth be told, Jesus already defeated sin for us all. As a result, sin is no longer an issue for those who are following the Lord. Instead of giving yourself over to sin, now you give yourself over to God, with no looking back and no turning back. And Jesus will build you back up again-even better than before. You get your strength from Him.
As you stay in the Word daily and use it in your everyday life, God’s Word will cause you to win again and again, day after day. Dear friend, be encouraged- it’s never too late to be who God made you to be.
