The Fortune is Worth the Fight- Part 1

The Fortune is Worth the Fight- Part 1

I will not drive them out from before you in one year, lest the land become desolate and the wild beasts multiply against you. Little by little I will drive them out from before you, until you have increased and possess the land. Exodus 23:29-30 (English Standard Version, ESV)

Often, if not all the time, we want God to take care of things right now. However, God does what is best for His kingdom and for us. The verses above show that God sees the full picture and does what is needed to protect us and provide for us.

God is protecting us and working things out for our best and for the greater good. God knows what would hurt us if handled incorrectly, so He allows us to approach issues one step at a time; little by little. First, He does this to grow and develop us in increments so we can handle bigger things to come. As we mature, we can do more and take more ground for the Lord. Often, delays are the result of our failure to obey or follow His lead. When we refuse to submit to His leadership, it can cause our maturing process to slow down considerably and prolong things.

So, when we get impatient about the process and how long it is taking for God to work in our lives, we must remember that God is working things out in His time and way. The intnetion is to have the best possible outcome. Through the process, God is preparing us for what He has prepared for us. In the final outcome, we will see that the fortune we’ll receive is worth the fight, and the provision has been worth the pain.
