Reverse The Curse

Reverse The Curse

Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. Galatians 3:13-14 (KJV)

Christ has redeemed us from every curse. However, through disobedience, we can open a door and allow the curse access to return to our lives (Proverbs 26:2). But- the good news is that we can shut the door to it forever. The curse is still on the earth (Zechariah 5:3), but as Christians, it has no right to us- as long as we don’t give it the right to get into our lives.

Sin, or disobedience, opens the door; it gives a cause for the curse to re-enter. Confession of sin and true repentance by those washed in the blood of Jesus will slam the door on every curse (I John 1:9). As we turn from sin to serve God with gladness (Psalm 100:2, Deuteronomy 28:47), living right, becoming tithers and givers (Malachi 3:10-11), loving, forgiving, and obeying God, no curse can be against us. The blessing will overcome and run out any curse. What God has blessed is blessed, and the curse has no more effect in our lives.

Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it. Numbers 23:20 (KJV)

Speaking right words will keep the curse away (Proverbs 18:21). We must speak life and not death, blessing not cursing (Deuteronomy 30:19). As we thank, praise, and worship God, we will walk in the blessing of the Lord that makes rich with no sorrow, or toil, added to it (Proverbs 10:22). Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, so the blessing of Abraham is ours in Christ. When we walk in obedience to the Lord and apply the blood of Jesus to our lives, we walk free of every curse that would try to enter in.
