Fight Back & Take Back
Fight back and take back- we see this principle over and over in the Old Testament. Abraham took Lot back from the enemy. David took back his wives, children, and animals from the enemy. And in the New Testament, we see it in a much bigger way- Jesus took back the authority from satan and gave it back to man.
Then Jesus made a public spectacle of all the powers and principalities of darkness, stripping away from them every weapon and all their spiritual authority and power to accuse us. And by the power of the cross, Jesus led them around as prisoners in a procession of triumph. He was not their prisoner; they were his! Colossians 2:15 (The Passion Translation, TPT)
When we face loss, we must not accept defeat. Instead, we must rise up, pursue, and recover all like David and his mighty men did. On top of that, we must make the enemy pay us back because the Bible says the thief that is caught must restore seven-fold.
I’m sure you’ve experienced the Lord placing a song, scripture, or phrase in your heart that applies to your current circumstances. Recently I’ve been singing “I went to the enemy’s camp and I took back what he stole from me. He’s under my feet!” This refers to us rising up and using our authority. The devil can’t have the upper hand when he’s under our feet. He can’t do much when we enforce our authority over him.
Them yesterday, the governor of Texas announced he will be lifting the statewide mask mandate and that businesses will soon be permitted to open at full capacity. That’s an example of getting something back that was stolen. Now the devil has to give us back seven times what has been lost in revenue, freedom, etc.
We have to fight back to take back what is rightfully ours. Take your life back. Take your family back. Take your health back. Take your dreams back. Take your nation back. God’s got your back, so go ahead and take it all back!
Confession:
I fight back and I take back all that Jesus purchased for me. I take back my life, family, health, dreams, finances, and nation. I take back my peace, joy, and relationship with God. My life is better, bigger, and brighter than ever. Because God has redeemed my past, established me in my present, and prepared a great future and eternity for me, I can take my praise back and give it all to the Lord!
