Get the Strife Out of Your Life

Get the Strife Out of Your Life

For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. James 3:16 (KJV)

Are you experiencing any of the following?

  • Your prayers are not getting answered

  • Breakthrough hasn’t come

  • You can’t get along with one another

  • You are confused

  • You have no peace

  • There’s stress and struggle

If so, check to see if there’s strife in your life. In the verse above, envy speaks of jealousy. Strife refers to ambition, self-seeking, rivalry, an obsession to promote oneself at the expense of others. Confusion speaks of tumult and an inability to think straight.

As we get into envy and strife, the door is opened to the enemy to do every evil work in our lives. We must shut the door to these attacks by walking in love. We do this by putting others first, giving instead of taking, and speaking words that minister peace instead of division and discord.

When you’re confused about a situation, check your peace. Have you lost your peace and gotten angry? Have you acted in the flesh? If so, repent and get back into peace. This will shut down the devil’s evil work and allow clarity to come. It opens the door to allow God to work in your life instead of the enemy.

As a result, you’ll experience serenity and tranquility. You’ll have joy and completeness, with no desire to compete with others. The more you put others first, the more God will take care of you. Eliminating strife is a sure-fire way to live in victory.
