He's There

Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. Matthew 1:23 (KJV)

I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee. Hebrews 13:5 (KJV)

I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20 (NKJV)

Aren’t you glad to know that Jesus will not leave us? He will always be there for us. When others are long gone, Jesus will still be there. He’s a faithful Friend that loves at all times- not just when things are good, but at ALL times. Jesus will not forsake us. He won’t leave us abandoned in a place all by ourselves.

People come and go throughout our lives. Most are seasonal; just there for the season we’re in at the time. Jesus is here for every season of life. He will be with us right up until the end of the age. He’s even with us for ages upon ages throughout etenity. So, we can all take heart and be encouraged. Jesus, Emmanuel God, is with us. Jehovah Shammah, the Lord is there. I AM is with us. God is more than enough for anything we need.

Think of it- you’re never alone. You’re never by yourself. You are not without help support, or aid. God is with us. He walked among us and He is still with us now. Everytime we feel His presence, His touch, His love, He is saying, “I am here. I AM cares.”

Because the Lord is with us, we cam count on Him. We can look to Him, rely on Him, and believe in Him. David understood this even before Jesus was born. In Psalm 23 he proclaimed, “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for Thou art with me.”

Be assured that God is with you. When you can’t feel God, find God. Find Him in the Word, find Him in nature, find Him in the smile of a person. God can be found if we look, because He is always there. During the Christmas season, loneliness will try to come to some people. However, we can know that we are not really alone because God is faithful to be with us at all times. Know and believe God’s Word that says “I am with you.” As a matter of fact, He is with us right up until our last moment. And at the moment we breathe our last breath, we are ushered right into the presence of Jesus, where we will be forever.

So, know that God’s got you. You are right in His loving care your whole life long. He really is Emmanuel, God With Us. And He is with you right now.

So why would I fear the future? For your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you! Psalm 23:6 (The Passion Translation, TPT)
