We Will Not Be Shaken

His voice shook the earth [at Mount Sinai] then, but now He has given a promise, saying, “Yet once more I will shake not only the earth, but also the [starry] heaven.” Now this [expression], “Yet once more,” indicates the removal and final transformation of all those things which can be shaken—that is, of that which has been created—so that those things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we receive a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us show gratitude, and offer to God pleasing service and acceptable worship with reverence and awe; Hebrews 12:26-28 (Amplified Bible, AMP)

There is a shaking going on right now. It is a shaking that God is doing to shake out those things that are not of Him. Before our very eyes we are seeing men and women of God, who previously believed Him and stood for what he was saying about our future, backtrack and lose heart. We are seeing politicians who appeared to be on the side of God and His agenda suddenly change course. We are seeing people all over give up and admit defeat. All of these people are being shaken out.

God is looking for the remnant- the percentage of believers who will stand their ground and not change their confession. He is looking for us to be bold in the face of apparent defeat. He expects us to believe what He has said no matter what smoke and mirrors the enemy may use to scare us. God has a plan and it has not changed.

God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through? Numbers 23:19 (New Living Translation, NLT)

This is the shaking time. Will you be shaken or will you stand? Gos does not lie and He does not change. What He has said, He will do. Either you believe Him or you don’t. Great rewards await those who will believe Him in all seasons, so stand fast and refuse to be moved by the circumstances. The show is just beginning. God is not finished with us, and He will not lose.
