Grace For Your Place

Grace For Your Place

Grace is a word we hear a lot in Christian circles. It’s in hymns and song lyrics, on artwork, it’s even included in many church names. Grace is simply God doing for us what we cannot do ourselves. For example, Jesus paying the penalty for our sins is grace in action because there is no way we can pay that price ourselves. Healing was purchased through the broken body of Jesus and it is given to us through grace as well.

I can do all things [which He has called me to do] through Him who strengthens and empowers me [to fulfill His purpose—I am self-sufficient in Christ’s sufficiency; I am ready for anything and equal to anything through Him who infuses me with inner strength and confident peace.] Philippians 4:13 (Amplified Bible, AMP)

When God calls us to do something or gives us an assignment or purpose, He graces us to get it done. Each of us has the grace needed for our personal God-given assignment. Some people are graced to be parents. Some are graced to work with technology. Some are graced to express God’s creativity through the arts. Others may be graced to acquire financial resources to finance the ministry. Each of us has a part to play in God’s plan and He gives us the grace, or He empowers us, to do our part. Grace is the divine enabling that provides the ability to do a task with relative ease.

When God calls us to do something, He will always give us what is needed to do it. At the beginning it may look impossible, but as we take steps of faith in obedience to His call, we will see resources appear and divine alignments begin to take shape. That is God’s grace working for us. On the flip side, if God has not told us to do a certain thing, He is not obligated to give us the grace to do it. And when we try to force things that God has not graced, we become frustrated and disillusioned. Knowing our assignment and staying in the lane He has put us in is the key. If you are frustrated and burned out, take an honest look at what you are applying yourself to. Ask God if you are where you are supposed to be and if you are doing what He has called you to do. He will show you where adjustments should be made to align yourself to receive His grace.

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16 (NKJV)

We can tap into grace and run the race we have been given. We will finish our race and accomplish our purpose when we rely on the grace of God.
