Faith Says "Forget About It!"

Faith Says "Forget About It!"

Have you ever had a problem that looked impossible to fix? Did you wrestle with that problem, turning it over and over in your mind trying to find a solution? How did that work for you? No too good, I would guess.

Pour out all your worries and stress upon him and leave them there, for he always tenderly cares for you. I Peter 5:7 (The Passion Translation, TPT)

No matter what type of problem we have, if we turn it over to God and then force ourselves to stop dwelling on it, we are doing what God wants. The absolute best thing we can do in an “impossible” situation is to step away from it and take our hands off of it. Often, the most productive we can do to fix the problem is to stop trying to fix the problem.

Have you ever had a small child who wanted to help Mommy or Daddy more than anything? There are times when a toddler will try to “help” but will end up getting in the way or adding more work to the situation. You might say that when we try to “help” our heavenly Father, it is similar. We can actually make things worse by “helping” the Lord.

Yes, if God tells you to do something, then by all means, do it. But if He doesn’t instruct you to act, then just sit back and let Him handle things. When we cast our cares on Him, He is capable of carrying them. He doesn’t need us to take some of it back. Our problems are not too big for Him to handle. So, for goodness sake, give it to Him and FORGET ABOUT IT. Rest in God. As a matter of fact, go have some fun. Enjoy your life. Show the devil you aren’t caving in to fear. You are not being irresponsible if you refuse to worry and fret over something. Instead, you are being strong in faith. And you are being the biggest help to God that you can absolutely be.
