From Defeat to Victory

A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory. And in his name shall the Gentiles trust. Matthew 12:20-21 (KJV)

If you are bruised or feel beat up by life, know that Jesus will heal you. He will not add to your injury or further harm you. If you are broken, Jesus will not break you even more. He is the Healer.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. Luke 4:18-19 (KJV)

And Jesus will not put out a smoking flax, or as we might say in modern terms, wick. Instead, He will bring fresh fire to light you again so you can burn brightly for Him. Our fire and passion for Him will be evidenced for all to see.

Jesus brings judgment and justice that leads to our victory. His justice makes wrong things right and brings victory that causes us to win. As we use the name of Jesus over brokenness and over a burning out of our fire, injustice will be overthrown and healing will come. Our passion for the things of God will be kindled and stoked. God will bring the victory and take us from brokenness to wholeness, from a smoking flax to a burning inferno.

Trust in His name. Trust Him to heal and restore. He is faithful to do it.
