Wake Up!

And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. Romans 13:11 (KJV)

Verses 12 through 14 tell us how to wake up.

The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof. Romans 13:12-14 (KJV)

Paul is talking to us about waking up spiritually; waking up to God, to the things of God. Don’t miss what God wants to do in you and in your life. Wake up and pray to know, hear and see God; Who He is, what He is saying, what He wants to show you. This is our opportune time.

Church, this is our time to be the people of God rather than second class citizens. It is time to overcome darkness with light. This is our moment; our finest hour. Will we make the most of it or miss the opportunity? Awake to the last Great Awakening God is now sending to planet earth. He is awakening us spiritually; awakening us to know, desire and worship Him. As we cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light found in Jesus Christ, we find our long awaited breakthrough is closer than it’s ever been. These truly are the last of the last days.

It is time to wake up and shine our light. It is time to be a witness, living honestly and not in strife. As we put on the Lord Jesus Christ, we imitate Him- His life, example, teaching- everything He did. Awake to righteousness and sin not. Awake and Christ will give you light.

Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. Ephesians 5:14 (KJV)

He will shine His light on your path, so that wherever you go, you will awaken others to God and what he is doing in this hour.

Don’t give up, deliverance is closer than you think. Keep believing, your breakthrough is near. Awake to what God is doing and see how He comes through for you! Stay awake and expectant- we will be with Him sooner than you think.
