Recognize Your Healing

Recognize Your Healing

And He said, The kingdom of God is like a man who scatters seed upon the ground, And then continues sleeping and rising night and day while the seed sprouts and grows and  increases—he knows not how. The earth produces [acting] by itself—first the blade, then the ear, then the full grain in the ear. Mark 4:26-28 (Amplified Bible Classic Edition, AMPC)

There is a Kingdom principle demonstrated in this parable. It shows us that the Kingdom operates under a system or a process, and there is a time element involved. In the same way that a farmer sees the growth of a crop over a period of time, most of the promises in the Kingdom of God involve some sort of passage of time. Often, we see some small sign first that tells us something is happening- like the farmer who first sees the blade poke up through the soil. It is progressive, as is the faith process for believers.

With that being said, we must be aware that our healing will usually show up the same way- first some small change indicates that our healing is progressing. If we fail to recognize our healing when it is in this initial stage of manifestation, we might sabotage our outcome. If a farmer sees a blade coming up and says to himself, that’s not a stalk of wheat with grain on it, pulling it up, he has just aborted his crop.

So, if you are believing for healing in your body and you have noticed a small change, don’t discount it as a fluke. Maybe you have been diagnosed with COPD and someone has prayed with you to be healed. If you then experience a day where your breathing is a bit better, it is important to view it as the first sign that your healing is manifesting- your blade, so to speak. If someone with a cancer diagnosis notices the pain has lessened slightly and they have a little more energy, they shouldn’t just think they are having a random “good day.” When we are standing in faith for healing, we must view any improvement in our symptoms, no matter how tiny, as a down payment on the full manifestation of our healing.

If we fail to recognize the first stages of our healing, we may stop the process of healing with our words. Words carry power, as many of our blogs have told you. If we say something like, “I fell pretty good today, but who knows how things will be tomorrow,” we just halted our progress. When we have a small improvement, we need to celebrate it because it indicates the rest of the healing is on the way.

When we experience the first “blades” of our healings, we need to thank the Lord for our healing. When we recognize our healing early and understand that the Lord is working, we speak faith into the situation and promote the complete manifestation of good health.
