He Sent A Man Before

He Sent A Man Before

He sent a man before them— Joseph—who was sold as a slave. Psalms 105:17 (NKJV)

Genesis, chapters 37 and 39-45 tell of Joseph, who was sold into slavery by his brothers and ended up being the means by which his father, Jacob, and the rest of the family survived a great famine. Without going into every detail of that story, know that God made sure to provide for them all before they were ever aware there was a drought. If you have not read that story in a while, I would encourage you to do so.

God lives in eternity. He lives outside of time. He is not limited by time, so He can see things coming in the future before they ever begin (Isaiah 46:10). Because He has a clear view of everything that has happened and everything that will happen, He can provide for you before you even have a need.

Just as He did for Jacob and his sons, God has sent provision ahead of us. Wherever we go, God has seen it in advance and has already set up a way to meet our needs. It is up to us to receive His supply by faith. We must believe that He is a good Father and has given us everything we need to live the life He desires for us.

His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who has called us by His own glory and excellence, II Peter 1:3 (Modern English Version, MEV)

Regardless of where we may be at this time or how things may appear, God saw this moment in advance and has given us everything we need to succeed. He is watching out for us and has arranged the help and provision we will need tomorrow, the next day, the next year, and so on. He truly is a good Father. So, relax and trust Him; receive the help He sent before you so you can prosper in every area of life.
