The Lord Will Save Us
For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; he will save us. Isaiah 33:22 (KJV)
The Lord is the word Jehovah, meaning the self-exsistent one, the eternal one, the revealing one, the one who is.
The Lord reveals that He is Judge. He judges based on His character; who He is. He is holy, righteous, loving…. God judges from Heaven and decrees what is right.
The Lord is our Lawmaker. He makes laws that are fair for everyone based on His Word. When we don’t get justice from man, we can go to the Lord and find justice. The Lord sits on His throne as Judge in the Courts of Heaven. His Word is Law. As we declare His decrees, God will fulfill His Word.
The Lord is King. He rules over the kingdoms of men. His kingdom is a spiritual one. His kingdom is a kingdom of:
Believers (Luke 17:21)
Power (Matthew 10:1-8)
Righteousness, Peace, Joy (Romans 14:17)
As believers, we will see God’s power wherein He prevails over all. We’ll see His righteousness with justice being served. We’ll experience His peace as once again the Lord will settle things. We will be full of His joy because of the Lord’s victory.
He will save us. When all hope seems lost, the Lord is our Hope for He is our Savior. He will save us from all our enemies.
We can look up and see that our help is the Lord. He is the Judge over all, a just Lawgiver, and will rule as King now and forever. There is no fear for the Lord is here to save us now.
