Snapshots of Brighter Days

But call to remembrance the former days, in which, after ye were illuminated, ye endured a great fight of afflictions; Hebrews 10:32 (KJV)

The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. Proverbs 4:18 (New International Version, NIV)

This verse in Hebrews tells us that God illuminates, or gives us a flash of light, like taking a shapshot. God gives us a snapshot of what He has for us. You need to keep in mind that snapshot of your life, your future, the vision that God gave you previously. Don’t let the pressures, the afflictions of life, steal your God-given vision. Rather, keep looking at that snapshot, that picture. Focus on God’s promises to see light. As you do, your pathway gets brighter and brighter until you come to the fullness of what God has promised you.

So, call to mind the previous days when once you were illuminated or enlightened with a picture from God that gave you a vision for your life. Endure, stay, abide, and outlast any great fight or affliction, any mental pressure, that tries to steal or stop the development of that picture. If you stick it out and outlast every fight, you will come through victorious.

As you keep looking at the snapshot of God’s plan for you in the glorious future that He has in store, you will receive the promise. As we walk in the light, it leads to the fullness of a bright day when we’ll see God’s promises manifest. Keep your eyes on the illumination God gave, that snapshot of your future and purpose, and you will see it become reality.
