Be Still To Exalt Him

Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10 (KJV)

Be still means to cease striving, relax, be quiet, stop, let it go. The word God in this verse is Elohim, which means God, Creator, God of power and might who brings His covenant to pass, the one true God.

When things go wrong, when we hurt, when bad things happen to us or others, we must be still, ceasing from our efforts to try to make things right. We need to let it all go and give it to God. After all, there are some things that only God can do anything about, like loosing someone from bondage or comforting them when they feel forgotten or forsaken. God reveals His power by what He does- in this verse by being exalted in the earth over the nations. Let it go. Don’t hold on to things that keep God from being exalted in our lives. Let it all go- the past, present, and future. Give it all to God to give God His place in our lives.

Focus on God, not problems and you will see God turn messes into miracles. We know God better by revelation and experience. When you’re brought low, exalt the Lord. Exalt God, and He will take His rightful place in your life and bring justice out of anything that has happened or will happen. God will show Himself strong on our behalf and will bring justice to right every wrong. Elohim, God the Creator, will take the bad and cause it to work for our good.
