Make The Most of Today

So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. Psalm 90:12 (KJV)

Today is what we are given to work with. Yesterday is gone and over, and we cannot change the past. However, we can learn from it to build on the good things that happened and to avoid repeating any past mistakes. We can recall the positive things and let go of regrets. Don’t let your yesterdays steal today.

Today counts, so make it count. How will you spend your day? Will you be fruitful or waste it? Once today is gone, we cannot get it back.

This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24 (KJV)

Today is God’s gift to us. What we do with it is our gift to God. Make the most of today; enjoy it, and make wise decisions. When we make the most of our day, God can take it and use it to make the most of us. Don’t fear or worry about the future, but instead strategically live your life today to set things up for a good future. What we say and do today determines the course our lives will take.

Whatever you want to experience in your future, plant the right seeds today that will bring that kind of harvest. Plant seeds of love, kindness, generosity, etc. to reap that kind of harvest in your future. Whatever you do, be sure to do it for the glory of God (I Corinthians 10:31), and your future will turn out just fine.
