Favor Puts Us On Top- Part 2

How do we get favor? It was made available to us when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Savior.

That in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. Ephesians 2:7-9 (NKJV)

When God gave us grace, He gave us favor. According to Psalm 5:12, He surrounds us with favor as a shield. Favor protects and guards our lives. Since God has favored us, and His favor surrounds us, we should expect favor everywhere we go. We should claim favor and expect it to open doors for us. In expecting favor to work for us, we are believing God for good things to happen.

Favor gives us hope that good will come our way, that God is working for us all the time, resulting in our success and prosperity. If we consistently expect favor, we will see favor in our lives on a daily basis.

As His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue. II Peter 1:3 (NKJV)

Grace provides and faith receives. Favor helps us receive what God has already provided. We don’t beg God for anything since He’s already given it to us. We just believe God. Faith is the hand that receives what God has freely given us and favor is the vehicle that brings it.

When life isn’t fair, favor will work on our behalf to bring justice- resulting in an outcome that is better than if it had never happened. Favor isn’t fair for it trumps all the unfair things of life. Let favor work for you, and see God put you on top.
